Anyway, this is a story that started out much differently in the first drafts. It was more about Carrie being generally tired of her dead-end life. I don’t think it worked well. The story became clearer once I thought about exactly how crappy her job (when she has one) would be. And, of course, the usual stakes with taking care of her autistic son, paying the mortgage and so on.
I’ll be back next week with a story about how Jon is doing on the home front with Michael while Carrie is in Los Angeles trying to figure out if she will take the 100K dollars!
